Disable automatic Windows Update on Windows 11 Pro

  1. Press Windows key + R.
  2. Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
  3. Local Group Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage end user experience > Configure Automatic Updates > Disabled > Apply > OK.
  4. Restart computer.

  1. Uninstall Windows 11 Cumulative Update August 2025: KB5063878 and KB5062660.
